Chamak is the work of Priya Kakkar, a New York-based designer with roots in India. She is a graduate of New York's prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology and began her career working as a senior account executive in the accessory departments of DKNY, CHANEL USA, and Burberry USA.
As a young girl, Priya was fascinated with visiting India and spent time at the local bangle shops in the outskirts of New Delhi, trying on every bangle that was sold. It is consequently no surprise that Priya's line of high-end jewelry is strongly influenced by the rich and vibrant colors of India.
