The Vatican Library is a museum in Rome that contains treasured artwork and manuscripts dating back to the year 313. Located in Vatican City, the museum is open only to scholars and not the general public in order to help preserve the collections.
The Vatican Library Collection of Jewelry and Gifts is designed and manufactured in the United State. Each style is inspired by items found in this beautiful museum collection. The styles are beautifully handcrafted with the highest quality materials including 24k gold plating, French enamel and Swarovski crystals, depending on the design. All styles are embossed with the Vatican Library seal. They come in a beautiful gift box with the Vacation Library seal imprinted in gold. Each box contains a note letting the recipient know that their gift was inspired by items found in the Vatican Library in Rome.
A St. Nicholas cross is formed by combining an Eastern Orthodox Cross and a Budded Cross. This cross is distinctively different from other Christian crosses as it has two additional cross beams. The top beam represents the plaque bearing Pontius Pilate's inscription "INRI." The lower beam represents a footrest and began appearing in Christian art in the 6th century. This resplendent representation is created using gold and silver tones with a dazzling Siam red crystal in the center.
