Quintessential global nomad, Becky Hosmer is the designer and founder of Anna Beck Designs. While journeying in Asia, Hosmer began to appreciate the detailed craftsmanship, color, and beauty replete in everyday life in remote towns of the Himalayas, Thailand, and India, sparking a love with the art of making jewelry.
In 2002 Becky arrived in Bali, a hotbed of culture, creativity, and design, where she discovered intricate metal-work techniques that fused an ancient heritage with a modern sensibility. Working with Balinese artisans, she began designing pieces of jewelry and while she originally created them for her own personal collection, it wasn't long before Becky's unique designs were coveted by high-end stores across the Unites States.
All Anna Beck pieces are carefully handcrafted on the Indonesian island of Bali by master artisans using ancient jewelry-making techniques. Each piece in the collection is made of individually cut 18k gold and sterling silver disks, which are layered and carefully affixed to a sterling silver base. The unusual style is made using one or more ancient Balinese techniques and gives Anna Beck's classic styles added interest and excitement. Because of the handmade nature of Anna Beck jewelry, no piece is exactly alike making it completely unique just like the woman who wears it.
