All Blomdahl earrings are about skin safety and comfort. Our hoops are made from medical grade titanium, which is then either gold or rhodium plated. In the second photo, this earring is the smallest of the three. The setting is called "Silver Titanium" but is actually rhodium plated medical grade titanium. Medical grade titaniun is titanium that the FDA has approved for use in the human body. It is far safer then the titaium traditionally found in jewelry products. Please Note: We take great care to ensure the plated areas do not touch your skin. Your ear only comes in contact with the medical grade titanium. Your comfort is guaranteed!
